Gareth Allen
Director - BBS, CA
Gareth has been a Director of the firm since 2001. Gareth and his wife Heidi purchased the FT Dooley firm from Frank Dooley in 2021. In June 2024 Gareth and Heidi also purchased Campbell & Associates, with the firms now amalgamated and operating from two premises as Buller Chartered Accountants Limited.
With more than 25 years’ experience in providing accounting, audit and taxation advice to businesses, Gareth has a wealth of specialist knowledge and insight. From ensuring you start out in business fully informed of your regulatory requirements to safeguarding your interests when considering your exit from business. Gareth’s attention to detail can provide you peace of mind that your business affairs are under control.
Gareth is happy to assist you in any way, and at times travels to Murchison to provide accounting services as an extension of the firm which is based in Westport.
ROCHELLE CROSSMAN

Rochelle currently cares for a range of small to medium sized businesses. Her area of expertise is commercial businesses including retail and hospitality. She has a genuine interest in business development and is the right person to contact if you are looking at starting up a new business or wish to review your business’s potential.
ZACH FORSYTH

Zach originally joined the firm in 2005 and is very experienced in all aspects of accounting. Zach qualified as a Chartered Accountant during 2020 and now takes the lead on our assurance engagements.
If you need guidance on whether an audit or review is required for your organisation and what records are necessary Zach is the person to contact.
HEIDI ALLEN
Heidi performs an executive assistant role and oversees the administration team at the firm. You will see her smiling face at reception when you come in to visit us. Heidi is the right person to talk to if you need to arrange a meeting with any of the team.

Jaz became a member of our team in 2018 after completing her Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting and Taxation at the University of Canterbury. Her commitment to the profession led her to attain full qualification as a Chartered Accountant in February 2024. Jaz is a key member of our assurance engagements team and leverages her expertise to deliver meticulous accounting and taxation services. Jaz is ready to assist with any inquiries pertaining to your business.
LISA SLEE
Lisa started her accounting career in 1990 and has over thirty years of valuable experience. In recent years, Lisa has become our go-to-girl for clients looking for online accounting software solutions. Her practical accounting knowledge enables her to get clients setup with a system that works best for their business needs.
TORI STECHMAN
Tori’s accounting skills stood out when she won the “Buller Chartered Accountants Ltd” Accounting Award at Buller High School in 2013. She joined the firm soon after and, with the exception of some parental leave, has now been with us for over 8 years. Tori is a dedicated member of the accounting team and is continuing her professional studies towards becoming a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Annette MacPherson

Annette began her administration and accounting career 49 years ago with a break of 9 years raising her family. She has extensive knowledge of commercial, small businesses, Trusts and the farming industry. Annette has a great understanding of Working for Families and is very proficient in dealing with IRD on all taxation issues. She is the go-to person to get on track with your obligations with the IRD.
JADE MARSH
Jade came to us straight out of Buller High school and has commenced her tertiary study with Massey University via distance learning. Jade plans to complete her diploma while continuing to work and gain experience at Buller Chartered Accountants Ltd.

Juliette has returned to our firm after almost 15 years. It is great to welcome her back to our team. Along with firm administration tasks, Juliette is your first contact to book an appointment.

Bronwyn has over fifteen years practical accounting experience and holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Marketing and Management. Bronwyn can help you with a broad range of queries as her experience includes accounting for Trusts, Companies, Partnerships as well as Sole Traders and farm accounting.
ASHLEIGH MANNING
Ashleigh has recently completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in accounting and taxation through the University of Canterbury. She joined our team full-time in November 2024 and has since commenced studies towards being a Chartered Accountant.

Denise has 36 years of experience in administration. She is experienced in debtor and creditor management, processing of payrolls, GST returns and cashflow preparation. Denise can assist with a broad range of queries for secretarial tasks. Her practical secretarial knowledge with her friendly approach enables her to provide clients with what is suitable for their needs.

Jane has 37 years of experience working for Chartered Accountants in NZ, Australia, and the UK. She has experience in office management for several years coordinating all aspects of office policies and procedures. She can assist you with a broad range of queries relating to accounting for commercial, small businesses and not for profit, taxation, budgets, and secretarial functions for your business. Jane is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and holds Trustee roles outside the firm while being involved in volunteer groups in our community.
Brianna Fox
Brianna joined Buller Chartered Accountants in 2025, bringing with her over three years of administrative experience. She has completed a Diploma in Xero and is enthusiastic about expanding her knowledge and skills as part of our team.
